A. Obtaining a new Grantee Code
To obtain a new Grantee Code, an applicant1
must first have a valid FCC Commission Registration
System (CORES) Number (FRN). An FRN one can be obtained at
https://apps.fcc.gov/coresWeb/publicHome.do
With a valid FRN an applicant may register and pay for a Grantee Code on-line on the Equipment
Authorization System (EAS) Grantee Registration page at:
https://apps.fcc.gov/eas/RegisterGrantee.do
After completing the on-line form, the applicant will be provided with their Grantee Code and a Grantee
Code Registration Number.

The Grantee Code Registration Number is a six digit security code used for
all future access required to modify grantee information and grantees should record this information in
case it is needed in the future. Since the Grantee Code Registration Number is used for future changes, it
must only be used by authorized individuals and should be protected.
Note: when attempting to modify grantee code information and entering the Grantee Code Registration
Number on line you must append GC to the number: e.g., GCNNNNNN.
All new Grantee Code assignments as well as all changes of Grantee Code information must be submitted
electronically.
